As a follow-up to the ELCIC National Convention this summer, a consultation will be held for Metro Conference congregations from 7-9 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 14th at Lutheran Church of the Cross. This is an opportunity to think about possible policies or responses and to consult with Synod staff & people from other congregations. Please let Pastor Lynne know by Sunday, Sept. 11th if you are interested in attending.
Metro Conference Convention
The Metro Conference congregations will gather together for worship and renewal on Saturday, Oct. 15th at Lutheran Church of the Cross. The gathering will be from 9 am to 1 pm. While it is still a ways away, we will need to know who is interested in attending from St. Luke’s Zion. The focus this year will be on renewal for ministry: “Come away… and rest awhile” (see Mark 6:30-46). Please speak to Pastor Lynne if you are interested.
Mark Your Calendars
Join us on Sunday, September 11th for our annual Corn & Wiener Roast following worship. All are welcome! Sunday School registration will also be held on this day.
Noon Hour Bible Study
Pastor Lynne is considering offering a noon hour Bible study beginning in September. The study would be on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays at noon and would be “bring your own” bag lunch. The length of time would depend on people’s work schedules. Please let Pastor Lynne know if you would be interested, as well as which day works best for you.
